Project Objective:

Design a flyer for a music festival using the template provided

Challenges:

The first challenge I had, was finding the right images for the flyer. I wanted to stay with the theme of a music festival. I went to Unsplash and found this moody photo of a woman holding a guitar. It was perfect for the main image on the flyer. Now I just had to find two more images of musicians. I was looking for photos of musicians with simple backgrounds that were looking towards the camera. I found a woman in front of a black background holding an acoustic guitar. Then I found a male singer looking towards the camera. Next, I changed the colors of the flyer to match my personal branding. The next challenge I came across was choosing the look for the photographs. I decided to keep the main photograph in full color, to act as a focal point for the flyer. Then I changed the color of the two smaller photos to blue, and added a thin white stroke around the subjects to help them stand out from the background. In the end, I believe I created a flyer that will stand out in the crowd and get people talking about the festival.

Outcome:

I created a flyer that focuses on the artists but has details to get viewers excited for the Rockfest.
